What a Great Weekend
Published by Derek under Personal on October 29, 2007Saturday was uneventful up until the Chinese Opera at the VMA in the evening. I was supposed to go to the huge national peace rally, but it was raining and I also did not want to go by myself. The rest of the afternoon was nice. I spent it with my friend chilling out.
The really nice part was dinner with Bonnie and go out with her after to get dessert. We were all dressed up for the opera so it was even nicer to be out on the town.
An all female cast performed the Opera. In English it was called “The Butterfly Lovers”. If you’ve never seen a Chinese opera it’s a sight to witness. I would probably never pay to go see another one, unless it was a bit more active. This was mostly just two girls singing on stage for long periods of time and the scenes were very long and drawn out. Overall though I really did enjoy the beautiful “Romeo and Juliet” like tragedy.
Sunday was long because I had to sing in the morning and then I had to work all night at Pastiche. I’m glad today’s my day off. I’ve already gone Rock Climbing and I plan to go for a nice long walk through the park.
Peace
