Saturday was uneventful up until the Chinese Opera at the VMA in the evening. I was supposed to go to the huge national peace rally, but it was raining and I also did not want to go by myself. The rest of the afternoon was nice. I spent it with my friend chilling out.
The really nice part was dinner with Bonnie and go out with her after to get dessert. We were all dressed up for the opera so it was even nicer to be out on the town.
An all female cast performed the Opera. In English it was called “The Butterfly Lovers”. If you’ve never seen a Chinese opera it’s a sight to witness. I would probably never pay to go see another one, unless it was a bit more active. This was mostly just two girls singing on stage for long periods of time and the scenes were very long and drawn out. Overall though I really did enjoy the beautiful “Romeo and Juliet” like tragedy.
Sunday was long because I had to sing in the morning and then I had to work all night at Pastiche. I’m glad today’s my day off. I’ve already gone Rock Climbing and I plan to go for a nice long walk through the park.
I went to the woods yesterday to ponder and wander. I could not believe the colors the leaves were. It was a beautiful day for a hike. Here are the pics. I also am putting a sample of my newest recording for piano and strings. I hope you like it.
When we are faced with a decision it is ours and ours alone. We cannot depend on the help from others to pave the way we ultimately choose to take. We must boldly make a step towards our final destination without concern for the journey, for it is the end result we must realize.

I got the opportunity to see my friend Justin today. He also brought his friend Nate to join in the fun. I had plans to go to a poetry reading by my friend Brett Rutherford, so I decided to bring them along. Brett was presenting his new Poetry Book “Things Seen At Graveyards”. He did a great job and his writings are probably his best yet.
After the reading we went to Tazza for some coffee and tea. It was a quick stop before our jaunt over to Pastiche for some fine dessert.
Later we walked back downcity to my car and drove over to Brown to see the sculpture there. It was a beautiful night so we all decided to walk around a bit and we came across a break dancing performance.
We ended the night back at my place for some light talk/discussions. Overall it was a great evening. Thank you guys for the company and getting me out of my house.
Saturday was an interesting day. It started out at Pastiche and then ended in Boston. I made my way to the train station and went to visit my friend Christopher Matthew Smith in Malden. He was throwing a Halloween party that night and I had been planning to go for months. It was a good time of crazy costumes and faces I haven’t seen in years. One girl made an amazing Halloween cake. I was impressed! Check out the pics.
I finally made it home around 12:30 and had to get up for choir rehearsal around 6:30. After choir I went to brunch with my friend Mike. We have a tradition to go every Sunday after choir to the Modern Diner. If you are ever in RI check this one out. I believe it’s the oldest diner in RI.
After brunch my handsome fellow invited me to a puppet show. Bonnie and I met him at the RISD auditorium and watch a couple dozen scenes of puppets dying performed by the Old Trout Puppet Workshop. It was a humorous and tragic event. I really enjoyed the artistic creativity of the show. I hope you don’t mind puppet nudity here are some youtube clips
After the Puppet Show I went to the Lincoln Woods with Rick…that’s the cute fellow I’ve been talking about. We just rested by the water and watched the sun go down.
Eventually we went home, ordered dinner, and watched the beginning of Lost the TV series. I must say it’s a very interesting show. So far nothing has really happened, but I bet something will be happening soon.

One of the finest restaurants in the city of providence is Al Fornos. It is an experience to be had if you are ever in town for an extended period of time. It’s not the best but it is so far from the worst. If you only go there to have dessert you will have at least tasted my favorite piece Al Fornos has to offer.
I of course did not go to this fabulous place all by myself. A perfect gentleman took me. A man, who is not only smart and funny, but is drop dead gorgeous. I have been spending a bit of time with this fellow and I must say I am enjoying myself immensely.
Now I am off to bed for the sleep of my life…
P.S. I have been working on a lot of music, I will be adding a song on here on Sunday or Monday.

It has been a very long day for me. I am amazed at my ability to remain focused and energetic. So to end this long day I thought I would write about how much I appreciate the people around me.
My friends and co-workers are an amazing bunch of people. I went to work today and sang with some of the most caring people. I came home and made brunch for my dear friend who will listen to anything I have to say. I went to work again later to find myself in the company of individuals that are loving and understanding. Finally finishing with tea at home with Bonnie whos spiritual energy and compassion never ceases to amaze me.
People all around me amaze me more everyday. Maybe it’s because I try to focus on only the good things in people. Or maybe it’s because those are the people I attract. All I know is that I manifested my life up to this point and I couldn’t have asked for better company. Thank you everybody that is in my life. I really appreciate you all…
This is a clip of a song by Damien Rice. This song makes me feel free. It reminds me of those times when you are left with the feeling that you just have to move on no matter what you are feeling inside. It’s a beautiful example of love lived and lost. Enjoy!
